Steve has lived his life dedicated to the art of sound.
Steve Borne
Steve Borne has been a TV and Film sound designer and mixer for 30 years. His projects have won 2 Emmy’s for sound, a Cannes Palm d’Or, Sundance Grand Jury and Audience Awards, NY Film Festival Awards and many more. He was also the principal sound designer for the NYC Jewish Heritage Museum, the IBM Watson demo facilities.
Steve was one of the early hires at digidesign, the company that brought digital audio recording to the film and TV industry and whose products are still the gold standard in recording studios worldwide. There he was responsible for trade demos, and he managed product and dealers for NYC and the entire Northeastern region of the US.
Steve is a graduate of The Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA with a degree in performance guitar and has toured nationally as both a sideman and band leader. Steve has produced several albums, played live on XM Radio, and at the Universal Amphitheater in Los Angeles, and was once called "The Eddie Van Halen of children's music!" by Disney's Family Fun Magazine.
Steve is also an avid skier and triathlete. He completed Ironman Lake Placid
in 2015 and has dozens of other endurance events to his credit, including
swims from Alcatraz to SF and the Statue of Liberty to lower Manhattan.
He lives in Erie, Colorado with his wife Amanda Borne and their 90 pound
dog Django Jack.
