HearLabs was founded by Steve Borne, a sound designer and re-recording mixer with decades of experience in film and television.

Working with sound means paying attention to the relationship between voices, music and effects. HearLabs brings that perspective to a challenge many people encounter at home: following dialogue without continually reaching for the volume control.

Our proprietary, patented audio technology is designed to de-mask dialogue, revealing speech obscured by competing sound while preserving the creative experience intended by the filmmakers. AMP’d, our HDMI audio processor, is in final hardware validation and preparing for launch.
